It is always a joy and an honor to perform at Godfrey Daniels, one of the premier listening rooms on the folk circuit. And this time, I get to share the stage with the remarkable HOPE DUNBAR. You're going to love her. Two sets.
It is always a joy and an honor to partner with my friend BEV GRANT on this multimedia show celebrating women in labor history. At this performance, we are fortunate enough to have the DC Labor Chorus, with Director Elise Bryant, joining us to breathe life into the words of these notable women and raise their voices in song. This event is hosted by the Labor Heritage Foundation and the DC Coalition of Labor Union Women, and sponsored by the American Federation of Musicians’ Music Performance Trust Fund (MPFT). Admission is FREE but space is limited, so you must RSVP via the ticket link below.
Happy to be part of the March edition of The Greenwich Village Folk Festival alongside Professor Louie, Kate Taylor, Peter Calo, Heather Aubrey Lloyd, Grant Peeples, Nick Carter, and my dear friends Miles & Mafale! Join us from anywhere you happen to be for great music and a few good laughs from 7PM-10PM Eastern time.
It's been a long time since I've hosted an open mic, so I am THRILLED to announce I'll be hosting two nights -- October 3rd and November 2nd -- in the Upstairs Lounge at the Quaker Meeting House in Manhattan. All are welcome to perform or just listen. Performers should bring a piece to share — a song, a poem, a story — and arrive by 6:30PM to sign up. A piano and an acoustic guitar will be available. Bring your open hearts and your listening ears!
After three years, NJ Folk Project's Acoustic Getaway returns in a monumental comeback with all the excitement, fulfillment, and roster-packed programming of years past, but with a necessary twist -- this Getaway is limited to 75 guests only. Playing at People's Voice Cafe in the heart of NYC's Greenwich Village is always a joy, but sharing a full evening of song with my friend BEV GRANT will make it even sweeter. There will be a full set of songs from each of us, with all sorts of crossover and collaboration (and probably special guest musicians). Don't miss this one!
