It is always a joy and an honor to partner with my friend BEV GRANT on this multimedia show celebrating women in labor history. At this performance, we are fortunate enough to have the DC Labor Chorus, with Director Elise Bryant, joining us to breathe life into the words of these notable women and raise their voices in song. This event is hosted by the Labor Heritage Foundation and the DC Coalition of Labor Union Women, and sponsored by the American Federation of Musicians’ Music Performance Trust Fund (MPFT). Admission is FREE but space is limited, so you must RSVP via the ticket link below.

It's been a long time since I've hosted an open mic, so I am THRILLED to announce I'll be hosting two nights -- October 3rd and November 2nd -- in the Upstairs Lounge at the Quaker Meeting House in Manhattan. All are welcome to perform or just listen. Performers should bring a piece to share — a song, a poem, a story — and arrive by 6:30PM to sign up. A piano and an acoustic guitar will be available. Bring your open hearts and your listening ears!

Playing at People's Voice Cafe in the heart of NYC's Greenwich Village is always a joy, but sharing a full evening of song with my friend BEV GRANT will make it even sweeter. There will be a full set of songs from each of us, with all sorts of crossover and collaboration (and probably special guest musicians). Don't miss this one!

NO FUSS AND FEATHERS at Branded Saloon

Branded Saloon, 603 Vanderbilt Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

NO FUSS AND FEATHERS returns to BROOKLYN after way too long an absence! And as if that weren't enough, we'll be celebrating our TENTH ANNIVERSARY with a nice long set plus a special surprise guest opener for a splendid evening of song. No cover charge -- we'll pass the hat for a free-will donation -- but we hope you'll also help us show some love for Branded Saloon by bringing your appetite for tasty noshes and refreshing beverages. 7PM doors, 8PM showtime.

Host MARK AARON JAMES and guest songwriters trade songs as if they were around a campfire, but in a TV studio instead. Bring some wine, some sharable munchies and your appetite for well crafted music! The show is FREE but a hat will be passed for the artists. NOTE: This event will also be presented virtually on FACEBOOK LIVE: https://www.facebook.com/events/940385497064700/?ref=newsfeed
