It's mid-January? 2025? Really?
Am I the only one for whom time seems to be moving in slow motion and fast-forward simultaneously? My daily life turns in a well-worn groove, while at the same time I wake each morning feeling as though a week has passed while I slept. Maybe it's the cold? Maybe it's the January light here in the Northeast? Or maybe it's a feature, not a bug, of settling into comfortable middle age... ha!
While my puzzlement over the passage of time is fascinating, I'm sure you'd rather hear about things that are actually happening, like plans for that long-overdue new ALBUM and upcoming live SHOWS... Allow me to explain as I'm running alongside a moving train:

Anyway, the as-yet-unnamed ALBUM (which may or may not include the above tune) is the selfsame one I crowed about back in February of 2020. Like a lot of things that year, the album project was unceremoniously derailed and is finally getting back on track. My friend Katherine Etzel (BOBTOWN/THE EXISTENTIAL BELL) has come on board as my intrepid producer, helping me choose ten songs that fit together and collecting a small cadre of beautiful musicians to augment my solo skills and add a little ear candy to the recording.
Like most songwriters, I don't have a pile of seed money just lying around, and since my working-class heart chafes at crowdfunding via platforms like KickButt (is that what it's called?), I'm hoping I can convince enough kind listeners to purchase the album in advance to keep things rolling in the right direction.
